Tri-State Light & Energy, Inc. Honored by NJ Board of Public Utilities for Outstanding Achievements in Clean Energy Program Bordentown, NJ, September 7, 2016 -- Tri-State Light & Energy, Inc., a provider of cost-effective energy solutions, was honored for its outstanding achievements as part of New Jersey’s Direct Install Program, a cornerstone of the New Jersey Clean Energy Program (NJCEP). This program, run by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU), provides turnkey solutions for New Jersey’s small businesses, enabling them to become more energy-efficient and reduce their utility expenses. It has been extraordinarily successful in not only generating awareness within the business community but also in providing significant energy savings throughout the state.
Tri-State was one of several companies recognized by the NJBPU for “dedication and hard work put forth as part New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program”. The awards were presented at a ceremony held September 7, 2016 at the Rutgers Eco-Complex Clean Energy Innovation Center, Bordentown, NJ.
Alan Rhode, Vice President, accepted the award on behalf of Tri-State Light and Energy. Afterwards, Alan commented, “We are proud to be honored by the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities and pleased to have been able to help more than 1,000 New Jersey companies and organizations save tens of thousands of dollars over the six years of this program.”
Speakers paying tribute to the honored companies included Richard S. Mroz, president of the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities, and Dr. Serpil Guran, Executive Director of the Eco-Complex.
Tri-State Light and Energy has been designing and installing energy-efficient lighting systems for more than 25 years. Under State energy efficiency programs, Tri-State Light & Energy goes beyond lighting and brings this same approach to energy opportunities for other building systems including HVAC, refrigeration, and water/gas conservation systems. NJCEP, established on January 22, 2003 in accordance with the Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act (EDECA), provides financial and other incentives to the state’s residential customers, businesses and schools that install high-efficiency or renewable energy technologies, thereby reducing energy usage, lowering customers’ energy bills and reducing environmental impacts.
